Professional Beauty, London (February 2018)

Professional Beauty London

On Sunday 25th February 2018, I attended the Professional Beauty event, which was held at the ExCeL exhibition centre in East London. I briefly attended the show last year so this time around, I wanted to attend again and spend more time at the event.
For those of you who aren't aware, Professional Beauty is a trade show event for beauty professionals such as spa owners and beauty therapists, but you can attend as a consumer and buy beauty products (for less than the RRP I think).

Professional Beauty is held in London and other locations too and it's free to attend as long as you order your tickets in advance. Whether you're a beauty professional or a beauty lover, I'd definitely recommend visiting a Professional Beauty event because it's a great way to discover brands and find plenty of opportunities to network.

I spent my time, as well as attending the Press section, where I received a heat massage. The beauty therapist used a warm shell - yes, really - to rub into my back and shoulders and it was so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep! You can read more about that type of treatment here.

The expo has so many brands from different sectors of beauty, such as skincare, cosmetics, spas and salons. Honestly, if you were to go to an event like this, give yourself plenty of time to attend, because there's a lot to see, products to try out and seminars to attend. Professional Beauty is a vibrant show.

All in all, I had an amazing time at the event and I must give a huge thanks to the Press team at Professional Beauty who were kind enough to send me a press pass, allow me to test out some of treatments in the Press Lounge and give me a couple of goody bags.

Also, attending Professional Beauty has kind of inspired me. For a while I felt as though I was hitting a brick wall with my career, but after attending the expo, I feel as though I am going in the right direction. From a young age I was always fascinated with beauty and I have always loved to write. At one point, my dream was to become a (freelance) beauty writer. I always knew that I wanted to end up in that role - or something similar.

Going to Professional Beauty has inspired new content ideas for my blog and it's made me realise that there is a place for me in this industry, even if I'm not a certified beauty professional. I know that being a beauty blogger is something that I love, my passion for cosmetics will never die and I have huge goals and plans for this blog so the best is yet to come.

Have you attended Professional Beauty before?
