Alokui Skin Repair and Protection Cream*

I'm prone to dry hands and this time of year just makes that worse.

I used hand creams on a regular basis and I'd never step out of the house without a bottle of hand cream in my bag.

I must admit, I don't have a particular product that I stick to, but I tend to buy creams that contain shea butter, vitamin E, coconut, cocoa butter, or aloe vera. The Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter Hand Cream is a favourite of mine, and it's a hand cream that I'd highly recommend to anyone. Without intending to state the obvious, hand cream is supposed to keep your hands moisturised, soft, smooth and well-nourished for hours on end.

I was sent Alokui's Skin Repair and Protection Cream* to test out. It contains kukui oil, wheat germ oil, allantoin and aloe vera. With these rich properties, the hand cream helps to alleviate dry and itchy skin. Kukui oil rejuvenates the skin to keep refreshed, wheat germ oil is nourishing on the skin, allantoin enables the process of cell renewal and aloe vera is soothing on the hand.

When I first tested it out, I noticed that the smell of Alokui's hand cream is similar to the Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion by Clinique, and the formula looks similar too.

After testing it out though, I can definitely say that it 'does what it says on the tin' so to speak. Personally, I found the cream to be quite smoothing on the skin, and it feels a little bit like a protective layer. If you're looking for a premium natural moisturiser for your hands, this is the one.
