5 Simple Ways To Jazz Up Your Living Room This Season

I really don't want to sound like a "typical blogger" (whatever that means) who's totally hyping up the autumnal season, but to be honest, I don't mind this time of year. Okay, I don't like the colder weather but I look forward to cosy nights in. Of course, I like to socialise and I've been so busy recently because I've been attending a lot of blogger and press events, but deep down inside I'm such an introvert and I don't mind staying in (some of the time).

A home is a person's sanctuary and it's important to feel comfortable. I literally can't wait for the day when I live in my own home by myself. I wouldn't say I'm entirely obsessed with interiors but I'd love to spruce up and decorate my own place and I've been sourcing out Pinterest for some serious inspiration.

In the meantime, there are simple ways to make home improvements. I like my bedroom, my desk area and the living room. The living room is the perfect place to sit down and relax after a long and busy day. One of the reasons why I'm so excited for this time of year is because I'll be able to watch Halloween and Christmas entertainment very soon!

So if you're looking for ways to improve your living room without much effort, there here are five simple ways to jazz up your living room this season.

1. Add cushions
I absolutely love cushions. They are so cosy and they are great for adding a touch of colour. You can colour coordinate or add cushions with different patterns and textures to add your personal stamp on your sofa.

2. Use scented candles
Right now, I am a little bit obsessed with scented candles. They look so pretty and they smell so sweet. I've been lighting up scented candles every evening and I think that they bring a sense of ambience.

3. Place decorative pieces
Add pieces all around the living room - mantlepiece, coffee table, etc - that represent you, such as special ornaments and precious objects.

4. Add lights
LED lights are really popular at the moment, and you can find all kinds of LED lights - including eco-friendly ones - from various brands and retailers. LED lights are great for adding illuminating effects to a room, making your room feel extra cosy.

5. Hang up pictures and prints
A living room looks a lot more special with pictures and prints on the walls or on the mantlepiece. Add your favourite pictures of your friends, family and special moments, and hang up prints with motivational and inspirational quotes.
