Coco For The Loco!

I love coconut oil. I use it on my hair on a regular basis, and it helps to keep my hair and scalp soft and moisturised. I also recommend it for the skin (not for the face though).

I've used coconut oil on my hair for years, and I must admit, I was a bit bewildered when the beauty world went crazy over coconut oil and it became a massive trend. For years, I'd known about the benefits of using coconut oil on the hair and body, so I was surprised it took a lot of people a long time to realise how good it is.

Anyway, as I'm a little bit obsessed, I was sent the Lee Stafford's CoCo LoCo HAiR OiL* to review and I was so excited to try it out!

The hair oil claims to be "deliciously coconutty." Well, that's certainly true! The oil smells lush, but unlike most coconut oil products, the smell isn't too overpowering.

The oil can be applied to wet or dry hair and I tested it out on my afro. First of all, the oil feels very smooth, fine, weightless and light. Secondly, the oil is glossy so it gives off a bit of a shiny finish after application. It makes your hair feel so soft, silky-smooth and super-hydrated. I'd recommend applying the oil on wet/damp hair, or just before styling. Just a couple of pumps of the oil is good enough, then add to the hair and you are good to go! It works well for all types of hair, but if - like me - you suffer with dry hair and scalp, then the CoCo LoCo HAiR OiL is a must have product as part of your hair regimen.

All in all, I'd recommend this oil if you are trying to achieve well-nourished hair. Also, Lee Stafford has an entire Coco Loco range full of hair products that are heavily infused with coconut oil, so I'd check that out if I were you! I'd definitely want to try out the rest of the range, which is available from Boots and the Lee Stafford website.

Are you crazy for coconut oil?
