4 Reasons To Indulge In Retail Therapy

I like to shop, but only in small doses. After a couple of hours of shopping, I get bored and I need a lie down.

I've never been the type of person to spend spend spend like crazy and blow my money on impulsive purchases. I usually put myself on a budget and I make small purchases. Some people can literally shop for England but I could never do that! If I could do that then I'd carve out a career as a personal shopper!

However, I do like to shop from time to time, and I've been shopping quite frequently. For myself, it is a little bit therapeutic - for a couple of hours.

Here are four reasons to indulge in retail therapy.

1. It's time to treat yourself.
Working hard? Buy those pair of shoes you always wanted. Been saving saving up? Then invest in that high-end liquid lipstick. Life's too short, so buy that designer handbag, snazzy pair of over the knee boots or fancy suede jacket.

After all, you deserve it.

2. It makes you happier.
Sometimes, shopping can give you a bit of a boost, especially as it can be a way to treat yourself.

3. It's a way to relax.
Retail therapy is like a release: it's a great way to take a break from the stresses of life and have a bit of fun as well as some time to yourself.

4. It's a great way to socialise.
After all, what's better than going out shopping with your fantastic friends? On Good Friday, I hung out with a couple of my friends from sixth form. We ate at a restaurant, went shopping then went to a dessert place. I managed to buy a few fashion items from Primark and H&M and I had such a great day!
