Taking A Break From Social Media...

These days I'm not as active as I used to be on social media.
This is because I've been so busy. Also, I can't be bothered with social media and I have deleted some of my social media apps because I want to re-focus my mind. Social media can be so time-consuming at times. I have even put my Twitter and Instagram on 'protected' mode in order to protect my privacy.

Taking a break (or semi-break) has given me the opportunity to focus on other things, such as:

Reading novels and magazines
Since I left university I've been on a mission to read as many books as possible in order to re-discover my passion for reading.

Listening to music on Spotify or the radio
This relaxes me and lifts up my mood.

Watch TV
This isn't the most productive thing ever but I'm a bit of a reality TV junkie, and I like to watch period dramas and historical documentaries.

Catch up with friends
In this day and age it's so easy to stay in touch using social media and messaging apps, but I prefer to do things the old-fashioned way: seeing my friends face-to-face over a cup of tea, coffee or milkshake.

Engage in leisurely activities...
...such as going to the museum or going to the cinema.

Meditate
I've started meditating and it calms my mind.
