BRAND SPOTLIGHT: FABY NAILS + REVIEW

Saturday, October 29, 2016

A while ago I took a trip to the Olympia Beauty show in Kensington Olympia.

The best thing about the show is that as well as running as a trade show event, it's also a great chance to network and discover new beauty brands.

While I was there, I discovered Faby Nails!
Faby Nails is an Italian nail brand, and it was launched in Britain earlier this year.

Even though it is a relatively small beauty brand, Faby offers a variety of colours, shades and collections to pick from, and as a nail polish addict this is pretty cool. As far as I remember the nail polishes are not available in retail stores yet, but watch this space.

In order to ensure quality, the polishes are designed in Milan, and for those of you who are conscious of animal welfare, the nail products are cruelty-free and vegan.

I was gifted two nail polishes to try out: and Sunglasses and Bikini* (blue) and #Irony* (pink.)

First of all I like the shape of the nail bottles, but most importantly, I love the shape and style of the brush. It's flat so it makes application of the polish smooth, easy and precise, so you can avoid smudges. I applied two coats to get the desired look.

I also purchased this glittery gem, in colour Tropical Fish. I think that's quite an interesting name for a glittery polish that's so sparkly.

Once again I was impressed because the brush is flat, making application of the polish easier. I love glittery polish - I have so many - and I think they are ideal to create Christmas nails for the A/W pary season. For this one though, I think it works better as a top coat because of the formula - it's not enough to use this polish on its own.

So there you have it. That's my review. I would definitely love to purchase more polishes from Faby and I will be keeping my eye out to see if they are available in retail stores.

Thank you to lovely team at Faby nails for giving me the nail polishes to try out!

*The polishes marked with an asterisk were gifted to me by Faby, but all opinions are my own.
