Positive Affirmations

Having low self-esteem is something that I've always struggled with. I've had this issue since I was a little kid and it's something that's had a detrimental impact on my life. I've had CBT in order to deal with it, but I had such a rubbish experience with that.
Building up my self-esteem and confidence has always been such a struggle, and it's only since this year that I've been my self-esteem perk up. Add to that the fact that I'm in a much better place now (mentally), and my self-esteem levels have gone through the roof.

There are times where I still struggle with self-esteem. I see building it up as a lengthy process, especially since I get down and out sometimes. I am a bit of a worrier and have a bad habit of seeing the negative in things, and overthinking and over-analysing things. I'm also a little bit paranoid sometimes, though my bouts of paranoia are few and far between these days, but growing up I was constantly paranoid to the point where I felt absolutely horrendous. The fact that I constantly feel strong negative emotions - hurt, resentment, sadness, anger and bitterness - doesn't help either.

I'm learning to be more positive. There are so many ways to do this, but one way to be positive is through stating positive affirmations on a daily basis. That means telling myself (or writing down) positive things about myself. :)

I love myself.

I am confident in my abilities.

I am worthy.

I am deserving of happy, healthy, loving, respectful, positive and fulfilling friendships and relationships.

I am a human being and I deserve to be treated with respect.

I deserve to have my wants, needs and desires fulfilled.

I am who I am, and I embrace who I am.

I have the ability (and the right) to achieve my goals and ambitions.

I have every right to change my mind, or to walk away from something that doesn't serve to make me happy.

I am brave.

I am not afraid to take on new challenges.

I am not afraid to be confident or to stick up for myself.

I am beautiful.

I am pretty.

I am sassy.

I am clever.

I am conscientious.

I am strong because I have overcome trauma and adversities to get to where I am now.

I am strong-willed.

I deserve the best.

I deserve to live my life my way because I am in control and my life is in my hands.

I am kind.

I am friendly.

I am satisfied.

I love my quirks.

I am destined for success and great things, and there are no limits to what I can achieve.

I am destined for a life of happiness - and I deserve that.

I deserve to be loved, cared for and treated well.

I deserve to take care of myself.

I am important.

I know what I want out of life and I aim to get what I want.

I am amazing.
