On Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th August I went to the Pure London fashion event at the Kensington Olympia exhibition centre.

Pure London is a fashion buying event where one can discover a variety of fashion and accessories brands from all over the UK and Europe.

It's a way for brands to connect with retailers in order to get their products stocked in stores, and it is a way for brands to gain some publicity.  However it is also useful for those looking to network within the fashion and for those who want to get some information on fashion business, branding, buying and retailing.  As well as the vast amount of brands available to have at, there were some catwalk shows and seminar talks that took place.  Plus I managed to take a look at current trends and to get a sneak peak at future collections!

I'd never heard of Pure London until late last week, and I when I first turned up I felt really exited but so overwhelmed!  The exhibition was huge so there were lots of brands to look at, and even though I saw Pure London as a networking (and blogging) opportunity, I found the idea of approaching brands extremely daunting.  In unfamiliar situations I am quite shy, and I didn't know a lot of the brands or what they were about, but I managed to get talking and I collected some contacts so it wasn't so bad in the end!

All in all, I enjoyed my time at Pure London and I hope to go to similar events soon!
