SS15 Beauty Must Haves for Facial Skincare

Skincare routine is very important to me all year round, and  this summer is no different.

For myself, there are two essential aspects of my facial skincare regimen: cleansing and moisturizing.  I live in the city so my skin can sometimes feel a bit mucky.  Add that to the recent heatwave we've had so far in Britain (plus wearing makeup on a regular basis) and the combination leads to major skincare annoyance.

In order to keep my face looking great, I have created a list of all of my SS15 beauty must haves for facial skincare.

Cleansing wipes
I cannot stress this enough - cleansing your face before bed is so important!  Never go to bed with makeup on as this is so bad for your skin in the long-term.  Even if you don't wear makeup, cleansing your face after a long day can clear away any dirt and dead skin cells and leave your face looking and feeling refreshed.

There are many cleansing wipes you can buy for not much money at all, but alternatively I suggest you use baby wipes, as they pretty much do the same thing!  I recommend the My Little Star Fragrance Free Wipes by Superdrug.

Cleansing gel/lotion
When I'm in the shower and before I go to bed I use cleansing gel/lotion on my face to clean and clear my face.  I have been using a Cuticura cleanser but I suggest an alternative - Simple Kind To Skin Purifying Cleansing Lotion.

Exfoliating device
For a while I have lusting after getting an exfoliating device as an addition to my facial skincare regimen because I like to exfoliate my face when I use a cleansing lotion/gel.  I am interested in getting the limited edition Magnitone Lucid device by pop singer Pixie Lott (which, by the way, I am a huge fan of!)  I think of exfoliating devices as electric toothbrush for the face - they are so good at deep cleaning your face.  The Magnitone device is gentle and effective - the results show softer, clearer and brighter skin in seven days - and it gives your skin a healthy look.  Plus it's quite convenient and compact - definitely essential and ideal for your travel backpack!

Face cream
Last point but not least, I need to keep my face - and lips - moisturized at all times, and this is the last part of the facial skincare routine, so I use Superdrug's Vitamin E Moisturising Cream for my face and the Chapstick Flava Craze Lip Balm.
