Positive Notebook + Gratitude Journal

Monday, March 23, 2015

A while ago I went to a seminar at university called 'How To Build Up Your Confidence.'
I gained a lot of tips and advice on how to improve my confidence and self-esteem, and I found the seminar really helpful and useful.  I managed to pick up a lot of resources.  However, one tip I picked up on was to get myself a positive notebook.

So I decided to pop into the nearest bookshop and stationery store (Blackwells) and purchased a Pink&Black notebook for £1.

The aim of the positive notebook is to write down positive qualities about myself and positive aspects of my life.  I will also use my positive notebook as a gratitude journal, as the purpose of this will be to write down things that I am grateful for in my life.

I think it's about time I had something like this.  I often find myself dwelling on negative experiences and putting myself down, and I often find myself harbouring a lot of negative feelings and motions - anger, extreme sadness, irritability, resentment, panic, paranoia and anxiety - that I find difficult to process properly and express.  I have always struggled with low self-esteem but over time I am gradually learning way on improving it.

Having a positive notebook and a gratitude journal combined is a great way to reflect on positive things and to remind myself of all the good things whenever I feel down.  Getting into the habit of writing positive things down regularly is a great way to help me think more positively.

  1. Hi, I made a little miracle book where you write small things that happen in your day which you're thankful for. I haven't thought about positive things about myself, neither I had actually seeing it before. It's a really good idea, to go back & read all those beautiful things that had happen to you & at the same time remember how beautifully amazing you are. Love this, definitively I will apply it. Thanks.
